There are 49,000 vacant positions at Veterans Affairs across the country - many for doctors, nurses, mental health professionals, and other essential caregivers.  Our veterans didn't serve our country just to come back and wait in line or fight with big hospital corporations to receive the timely care they deserve.

Why: Join us in sending a STRONG message: Don't privatize the VA & fill vacant positions!

Action: Urge everyone you know to call 1-833-480-1637 and tell their Member of Congress to vote NO on S 2372 (VA Privatization)!  The House will vote any minute!! (the House inserted the language from HR 5674 into S2372 and is attempting to use S2372 as a vehicle to pass legislation that would privatize the VA, ultimately HURTING VETERANS.

Procedural explanation - how Congress is using S2372

The MISSION Act is now S. 2372 (Veterans Cemetery Benefits Corrections Act).  This is a procedural tool to avoid a Senate VA Committee markup and put the bill directly on the floor of the Senate. Looks like the plan is to use 2372 as a shell, amend it to now be the MISSION Act text, and send it back to the Senate as an amended bill.
